POUNDLAND bargains and a NOTD

Hello!

I am on a mega tight budget at the moment, although that doesn't mean i cant sneak in some beauty stuff, right?

I was delighted to find these babies at my local Poundland, which is similar to Dollar Tree for any US people reading:

Back Row: Sally Hansen Insta Dry Speed Dry Drops, Olay Pore Refining Mousse Cleanser, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails 'Hard as Wraps polish in shade 'Coral Creme' and Maybelline Salon Expert Strengthening Top & Base coat

Front Row: Rimmel Colour Rush Mono Shadow in 'Envy' and NYC Colour Wheel Mosaic Face Powder in 'Scarlet Letter', which I believe was a limited edition product

All of this cost me £6 - the Olay Cleanser retails for more than this in Boots on its own!!!!!!

Here are some close ups:

Close up of the NYC Color Wheel - this consists of red and various shades of brown, although swatches to a lovely coral/red type shade - I am most excited about this!

Close up of the Rimmel Eye Shadow - this is a lovely matte emerald green

And finally, a NOTD, using the Sally Hansen polish i bought from Poundland (2 coats) - this apparently has acrylic gel in the polish, meaning it can last up to a week and is more like  nail wrap, although can be removed with remover like a regular polish - I love the formula, so am gonna try and pick up some more of these:

Sorry for the blurry pic - I hope you get the idea though!

So, there you go - you should definitely try to check out your local Poundland for some beauty bargains!

If you would like a review of anything, please leave a comment to let me know!

MAC Wonder Woman

Hello lovelies!

I am so excited for the MAC Wonder Woman collaboration!
I know a lot of people are not really liking this collection but i am super excited about it :)

Here are my picks that I will be (hopefully!) purchasing when it arrives in the UK (March 2011):

Its worth noting that most products in this collection are super sized, compared to the regular versions, which may mean they are slightly more expensive than the regular version of the product, where applicable - to me it is worth it, although something to think about if you're on a budget:
Blue Make Up bag - this has a cute blue and white star print inside!
Also available in red

'Amazon Princess' Blush Duo - this a lovely magenta pink on one side (the larger side) and a berry shade with gold shimmer on the other!

Lipstick in 'Russian Red' - I know this is a permanent but I sort of collect the MAC collaboration lipsticks, so will be trying to get this one :)

(The other shade pictured is 'Spitfire', if you're interested)

Also, I may get this - I love the colours but the reviews have been mediocre, so will see:

Eyeshadow Quad in 'Lady Justice' - I may buy this purely for the name ha ha

What are your thoughts on this upcoming collection?

Will you be purchasing anything?

Irregular Choice and Brogue Bargain!

Hello lovelies!

Just thought I would share some bargains I recently picked up with you!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Irregular Choice shoes, so was pleased to see this pair in the sale that I had spied a while ago at full price:

 'Daisy Girls' Floral Cuff Heel

I picked these up for £34.99, instead of £79.99 - some may think they are hideous, although I love them, as they are so unusual and they have a floral element, which I love.
They also have a cute brogue style detail:

You cant quite see it here but it looks like little bears or bunnies stamped on to the toe!
Next up, I ordered these from Schuh, as I thought they would be great for Spring teamed with dresses and cardigans:

 £14.99, reduced from £24.99 - Schuh

I also wanted these but they seem to have the 'courtesan' style heel that I find uncomfortable:

Cue SAD FACE :(

Have you purchased any bargains recently?

Monthly Mega Haul :)

Hello lovelies!

I have had so much stuff over November and December, so decided to post it on here so you could check it out, as everyone loves to be nosey, right?! :)

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom perfume  - this has a beautiful, delicate, fresh smell

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Bath and Shower gel - the bottle is so pretty (and on the perfume too!)

Awesome pencil scarf from H&M

Creed Love in White perfume - this is my most favourite perfume but is so expensive! Apparently, Mrs Obama wears it and Angelina Jolie too!

These were all gifts from some wonderful friends :)

Hello Kitty Figures - these are awesome!

Wizard of Oz lunch box tin with handle, although I will be using this as a little bag and/or to store makeup

Owl Purse - I love this!

Hello Kitty tin (these had some cute vintage style earrings inside too, which was a nice surprise!)

Bath Pearls!!!!!! These are a blast from the past - I loved them when i was a kid :)

Again, all gifts from lovely people :)

Mini Top hat, with feathers and a bow - gift from my mam and dad :)

Mac goodies :)

Mac Tartan Tale kit (sorry, cant remember the name of this one)

It came with a violet pigment, a purple gel eyeliner, a mini Zoom lash mascara and a mini brush to apply the eyeliner, plus you get cute bag - £27.50

MAC Marcel Wanders lipsticks in 'Digna' and 'Catharina' - these are amazing - I usually stick to MAC's amplified creme formula in the lipsticks, as they are my favourite but these are lovely - am so pleased with them!

MAC Tartan Tale Quad

Sugarpill Eyelashes

Urban Decay Glitter Eyeliner 3 pack

(I also got the MAC Tartan Tale 5 piece mini nail varnish tin, which isn't pictured, as I forgot lol)

Front Cover Eyeshadow Set

Small Eyeshadow set (gift from my mam and dad- the metallic colours are lovely!)

Hello Kitty Make up chocolates - I <3 Hello Kitty :)

Lush Gingerbread House

Cupcake brooch

All gifts :)

I also got a few other Lush gift boxes but in  my haste to use them, I forgot to take pics!

Beautiful rings - again, all gifts

A pic without flash:

Top Row

Pink Cameo ring

Large Red Bow ring

Large Pink Rose Ring

Bottom Row

Bee ring

Vintage frog ring - this was made especially for me :)

Agate hummingbird ring

Sleek Molten Metal

Hi guys!

What do you think of this new release from Sleek?
Molten Metal Duo

Sleek say:

"Molten Metal is a highly pigmented metallic cream eyeshadow duo.
The palette consists of 2 gloriously rich and highly pigmented metallic creams that ignite the skin with intensity. The formulation is soft and fluid-like allowing easy application."

This looks very similar to the Illamasqua Liquid Metals, although for £6.99 for this little duo, they are a lot more purse friendly.

Its available here

I will be picking up the Molten Metals - what do you guys think?

Why I do not like January!

Hello!

Just a quick post today - have been suffering from terrible insomnia this week and just feel all 'urrrgghhh'!
I made the mistake of looking on the Office website and spied these babies:

In the sale, reduced to £35 from around £90 - AND they have my size, which never usually happens!

(They also come in black if you are a size 3!)
They are not my usual style but I totally adore them!

Oh, and the reason I do not like January is that I do not even have £35 to buy them - sob :(
Is there anything you are lusting after but cannot afford this month due to to rubbish January? haha
